Lay on your back,
Look into the sky.
Wish upon a star,
And close your eyes.
Make shapes of the stars,
As you wait for another.
Capture the star in your mind,
Watch it fall and die.
Taught in the classrooms,
told of the truth.
They say it's fire,
Burning in a ball of gas.
So why do we call them shooting stars,
when they do not have that shape?
Why do we have so many fantasy's,
of wishing and not telling?
Maybe for our own security,
Or maybe for our hearts.
Posiblly it happened to you,
And it came true.
For all the reasons,
I don't know.
Try it your self someday,
by laying in the grass.
Look into the night sky,
And find your shooting star.
Make a sweet wish upon it,
And just simply smile.

My New Favorite Poem!!!
Your Catfish Friend
by Richard Brautigan
If I were to live my life
in catfish forms
in scaffolds of skin and whiskers
at the bottom of a pond
and you were to come by
one evening
when the moon was shining
down into my dark home
and stand there at the edge
of my affection
and think, "It's beautiful
here by this pond. I wish
somebody loved me,"
I'd love you and be your catfish
friend and drive such lonely
thoughts from your mind
and suddenly you would be
at peace,
and ask yourself, "I wonder
if there are any catfish
in this pond? It seems like
a perfect place for them."
This Poem is Very unique to me. It caught my attention. I had some difficulty trying to find a poem that I could read and think to myself, "Man I really think that is cool!", or something along those lines. This peom made me think of all of the friends Ihave and if they would do the same for me if they were a catfish. I would, i think. Maybe not, if they had a fishing pole in there hands. :) All in all, I thought that this poem was very nice and it shows some great passion for friendship.

This is the New Year!!!
The Year has seemed to go by so slow when it was happening, but now, we look back and see that it went by pretty fast. Maybe we don't think about it untill it's over, but time fly's.
I do not regret this past year of 2006. I have had a year full of memories and laughter. In the begining of the year, I felt that I couldn't wait to be 18 years of age but now that it has happened, and the year has gone by, I think of time as a precious item that should be thanked for having. I think as people get older, they reconize it more, but what makes it sad is that they eventually begin to have regrets then when it is too late.
And now it is the New Year and we have so much to be thankful for. The people and friends and family that care for us and the love that is spread throughout the world. Thankfull for those wonderful teachers that make us do these wonderfull bolgs. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Thanks!

The Luxury of Giving
"One must be poor to know the luxury of giving."
-George Eliot
When a person has the feelings of being poor, they put themselves in the shoes of another poor person. They know the true feelings and understand the troubles one can go through. For a Rich person, they don't think too much about it. If it doesn't concern them, they won't worry, unless they were poor in there past lifetime or unless they are just nice and kind to begin with.
If i was rich, I would give to the people that needed more than I did. I have been there before and I know what it feels like. There is only so much in this world that one needs. Everything else is a Luxury!
